Mary Wettach Died in Savannah
She was born on August 18, 1951, in Savannah, and was the daughter of Edward and Gloria Collins. She was a graduate of Herschel V. Jenkins High School and was currently employed by One Source Manufacturing. She spent 15 years employed by Volvo of Savannah.
Many people were blessed by her music ministry. Beginning in the late 1960’s, she performed vocals for a group known as the Glorylanders, which continued for several years. She served as the Financial Secretary at Christian Fellowship Church for approximately 25 years where her father pastored. While being a devoted member, she continued with hymn mantras-solo or with others, she would fill the request. She truly loved gospel singing. Upon the retirement of her father and closing of the church, she found a new church home at Lifespring Worship Center in Bloomingdale.
Her family was the greatest love of her life. She was a gentle, peaceful lady yet had a powerful presence and great enthusiasm for life, according to family members.
Mrs. Wettach was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Cecil and Hazel Booth, and paternal grandparents, Clarence and Hallie Collins.
